Breed Description
The French Bulldog has the appearance of an active, intelligent, muscular dog of heavy bone, smooth coat, compactly built, and of medium or small structure. Expression alert, curious, and interested. Any alteration other than removal of dewclaws is considered mutilation and is a disqualification.
Origin & History
French Bulldogs, as the name suggests, are a breed that is believed to have originated in France, in the Normandy region. In the mid-1800Æs Frenchies were popular with the Russian Royalty, as well as imported all over the world as companion animals for the wealthy.
